World Hoop Day 2008

I was looking for something to do last week on a Friday night and consulted the Metrotimes for ideas and what did I stumble upon but a blurb about World Hoop Day 2008 being held at a park in Old Redford. So I decided to pack the car w/ the big boys ( Carter 9 and Gram 7) to check it out. Here's what we found:

Paella Party!!!!

I'm throwing a Paella party for 11 people today. I donated it to my sons school auction. The winning bidder paid $750 so the pressure is on. The eveing will begin with a selection of spanish cheeses, olives, nuts and dried fruits along with both Passionfruit and Pomegranate Sangria. I also made Tortilla Espanola which is like a potato and onion omelette. Then we'll have the Paella -I make it w/ 2 kinds of chorizo, chicken and shrimp. We'll end the night w/ Flan and rice pudding and dark chocolates. Yummy!

Hi Everyone out there in Blogger land!! I am happy to report that I've recently joined the Mydols as their singer. Who would have thought? I'm really excited- we are changing our direction and gearing our sound to kids and families.
